North Carolina: 458 baptisms, 'God Is moving’

Biltmore Church in North Carolina has celebrated the largest single-day baptism in its 137-year history, with 458 people publicly declaring their faith in Jesus Christ. Around 4,000 people gathered beside a mountain lake in Fletcher for the church’s annual outdoor baptism service, bringing together members from its seven campuses. More than 400 people had registered beforehand, but dozens more responded during Sunday services or at the lakeside itself. Lead Pastor Bruce Frank said each baptism represented an individual story of God changing a life. Those baptised included adults from many backgrounds, people with disabilities, a man with a terminal illness and families responding together. One man even travelled by motorcycle from New York after coming to faith through a Christian friend in North Carolina. Biltmore recorded 686 baptisms during 2025 and has already celebrated 636 this year, with more expected. Frank credited church members personally sharing the Gospel with friends, neighbours and colleagues, emphasising that their focus remains making disciples rather than simply attracting crowds.
