From Ukraine to the Jungles of Papua New Guinea: A Love Story That's Changing Countless Lives

Fifteen years after leaving Ukraine to serve as missionaries in Papua New Guinea, Jenya and Ira Konstantinik continue to see God transform lives in one of the world’s most remote regions. Their early years were marked by extreme hardship, living in a simple hut without electricity or running water while raising young children. Despite illness, poverty, and isolation, they remained convinced that God had called them to serve the people of Papua New Guinea. Today, their “Promise Land” ministry has grown into a thriving centre of Christian outreach, caring for vulnerable children, planting churches, supporting education, sharing the Gospel, and bringing reconciliation between rival tribes. They have welcomed many abandoned and orphaned children into their family, while local believers continue to grow in faith through discipleship and worship. Although they still carry a deep burden for war-torn Ukraine, they now call Papua New Guinea home. Their remarkable journey stands as a testimony to God’s faithfulness, sacrificial love, and the transforming power of the Gospel.
